  • How does the sound fire switch work (when it is activated)

    • The Sound System of the Toland Theatre is connected with the fire alarm system, muting all front of house speakers if the alarm is tripped. This feature is meant to allow the audience to hear the alarm, however, it also means that microphones cannot be used to alert the audience.

    • If Fire Alarm goes off during a show in the Toland Theatre

      • Follow evacuation procedures here

      • Upon reentry into the theatre, the key found on the sound tower in the booth which is labeled “Fire Alarm Mute Reset” (shown below) must be turned after the alarm has stopped sounding

  • The Sound System of the Frederick Theatre is not linked with the alarm system.

    • If Fire Alarm goes off during a show in the Frederick Theatre

      • Follow evacuation procedures here
